31 Fundraiser Auctions...

Not only did my 31 party help to raise $365 for our adoption fund, but it also meant I got to order a bunch of hostess freebies that I can now auction off for Plum Panda!!!  I am posting the items here, but the real action is going to take place on Facebook.  If you are one of the two remaining people on the planet who are not on facebook (Ahem, JW and AF, I am talking to you...), email me if you really want something.  You may end up having to pay full price for the item because I'm not watching my email all day. 

Also, I am going to post the pictures from the 31 website for the products be they are all NEW IN PACKAGING and NOT PERSONALIZED and I don't want to take them out of their wrappers. 

So here is what I've got to sell....

 Expand-A-Tote Day Extender.  In the Black Parisan Pop fabric.  Retails for $49.  Starting bid $20.

Double Zip Cosmetic Bag.  Hostess Exclusive.  In Grey Quilted Poppy.  Valued at $58.  Starting bid $20.

Rolling Tote.  Hostess Exclusive.  In Brown Quilted Poppy.  Valued at $185.  This thing is awesome.  It is taking a lot of will power and reminding myself that I don't really ever go anywhere that requires luggage separate from my husband's to not keep this for myself.  Starting bid at $45.

Hang-Up Home Organizer.  In Black Parisan Pop.  Retails at $45.  Starting bid at $20.  This thing is awesome too.  Has pockets for a calendar, places for dry erase markers, slots for take out menus, church directories, etc.  Would be great in a home office or as a family organizer in a kitchen.

Littles Cary-All Caddy in Pink Circle Spirals.  Retails for $12.  Starting bid $5.  (FYI-- this tote is the perfect size for housing a box of tissues and then a small bottle of Purell in the side pocket.) 

I also have two since sac thermals, but they aren't listed in the winter catalog yet, so I don't have pics.  They retail for $20 and I'll be selling them for $10.  One is in a black and white pattern and the other is in a yellow leopard pattern.  Perfect for smuggling food into a movie theater.  Or for packing your lunch.  Whatever you're into. 

Winged Feet Fundraiser Opportunity

My awesome friend Kristen Stewart (no, not THAT Kristen Stewart) is a graphic designer, photographer, writer, reader, Jesus lovin' hipster Mom birthing babies in bathtubs, Tarheel superwoman has generously offered to donate 50% of all sales from her Etsy Shop Winged Feet from today, Monday January 23rd until the end of the month.  No need to put in a promo code, no need to tell her you know me.  Just shop and receive some of the cutest printables around.  This is really a great deal and one I would love if you would tweet about or link to your wall on facebook.  Even if you don't buy, that's a simple way to help in a fundraiser that doesn't find me hunched over my dining room table with a glue gun at 2 am.  

If the whole promotion weren't about raising money for our adoption, here is what I would buy.

 Family rules which I would get in gray and hang in our upstairs hall between the kids' rooms.

I'd get a Virginia one with the heart in Richmond for Henry with his birthday.  A Virginia one with the heart in Charlottesville for Gracie.  And a red and yellow China one with the heart in whatever province he is born in for Charlie.

 

And I would get this for Charlie's baptism invitation.  

(Let's briefly pretend that I haven't already discussed the menu with Sloan and that Sloan did not roll his eyes at me.)

Plum Party Trunk Shows

Would you like to host a Plum Panda Trunk Show? 

Basically, I'd bring all my items, you'd supply some simple snacks, and we'd have some girl time with heart.  I'd share a little about orphan care, our adoption stories, and answer any questions folks have about both international and domestic adoption, what "special needs" means, and just why oh why I've traded in my dream for a minivan for a little boy from China.

I promise that at least one person at the show will laugh until they almost pee their pants.  It may or may not be me.

We have loads of colors!  Basically, if you want it, I can make it!  I can even make two toned.  I'm also working on some rosettes on headbands, pins, and scrunchies. 

Ugandan Style Paper Bead Necklaces

Sooo...my love and the bane of my existence as of late.  They are tedious to make.  But Henry did help with these by pressing the button on the heat gun to melt the embossing powder to "set" them.

These are the only four I have, (so far) but I can always make more and can even custom make them to be a certain color theme!

 Each of these 20" paper bead necklaces is on stretchy filament and has a magnetic clasp.  The burgandy one has a gold clasp, and the blue one has a silver clasp.  $17

*My friend Cindy who adopted two lovely boys from Ethiopia tells me she got some of these necklaces for $6 in Africa.  Well, a)my cost of living is a LITTLE higher than $2/day, and b) if you can get a plane ticket for less than $25, you should.

New in packaging Rattan magnetic bulletin board.  Retails at Ballard Designs for $69.  This item is heavy, so I'd prefer it to be a local delivery (Richmond area).  Willing to entertain all reasonable offers.

Wreaths

All wreaths are handmade and one of a kind.  If you see one that you like here that has been sold, let me know and I can recreate it for you.  I can also make you a custom wreath to go with your decor.  Wreaths come in 12" ($34) , 14" ($36) , and 18" ($38). Occasionally, where noted, there are additional charges for extra embellishments.
